ECU tuning?

Burning EPROM chips is an option, but I personally feel like it's a waste of time since a burnt chip will only get you a base tune and you will still need some kind of tuning device to dial everything in. This is going to be your best bet for stock ECU tuning:

ECMTuning, Inc.

Since you have a 95 it's possible you have an EPROM ECU from the factory. This is good since burning chips and DSMLink both require either an EPROM ECU or an EPROM conversion. One way to see if you possibly have EPROM is to check the Production Date on your doorjamb sticker. If your car was manufactured in 1994, then it's very likely you have EPROM. But the sure-fire way is to pull the ECU and check for this chip:

While it is a pain to do, you can do fine adjustments with a chip. I've got a fuel and timing tables available to me with what i use.

DSMLink is your best bet. Even if you don't have an EPROM ECU you can have it converted by ECMTuning.

agreed. I was searching for an eprom after i bought dsmlink because i thought mine could be converted. I guessed wrong and emailed Thomas my issue. He had one shipped out for 80 bucks socketed and chipped. Cant say enough good things about that guy.

Yep they are a great company and i had some good deals through a vendor to get my package, and just got my nice gm maft cable, whoo hoo. They can do conversions fairly quickly.

Socket it and visit the dsmecu forum or dsm-ecu yahoo group to learn more about chipping/programming yourself. The easier(and arguably better) way out is Dsmlink, but it's never hurt anyone to learn more about the different options available and expand their knowledge about the inner workings of the ecu used to run their engine. Buy an Ostrich and chip burner, Tunerpro RT(maybe donate a few bucks) and research. You may eventually learn enough to turn tuning into a side hobby, and will have the tools(Ostrich, burner) to help others tune theirs.

If you aren't interested in that, just buy a DSMlink and be done with it :)
