I'm wanting to start tuning my car, and I have no experience. I have a 98 GSX that has a "Ceddy mod flashed ECU" (came with the car). I know a lot of people use DSMLink and I've heard that it is more "user-friendly" than the Ceddy mod so my question is this: Should I buy the cables and software to tune my ecu with the Ceddy mod, or should I get DSMLink? Other suggestions are welcomed also

My long term goal is 400-500 hp as a daily driver. However, right now my goal with tuning is to get the car running safely/efficiently. I don't have a wideband yet but I fear I might be running lean. I probably could learn how to work ECUFlash, just don't have any experience and want some opinions

You're going to get different opinions from different people. No one is right. Going the flash route is cheaper, by quite a bit for you.

I have a 98 GST with a modifiable ECU as well. I'm going the more affordable route and doing the Ceddy mod. I too have no experience with tuning at all but I'm determined to learn it. I'm going for 375whp daily driver possibly 400whp. If I were you I would use the money that you were going to spend for the DSM link for a wideband.

I plan on purchasing an AEM wideband at the same time I get the tuning software. I would like to see both of the softwares in action, so I can get a feel of what I'll be dealing with either way. Are there any links to both DSMLink, and the ECU flash being used? (I looked on youtube but couldn't really find anything very helpful)
