1G ECU Questions

I have a couple of ECU's

1. MD145903

2. MD166255

3. MD159561

I called a local shop here in IL (AMS) and told me my ECU might be bad because of a fault code that came out on my data logger for the air flow sensor.

My question is which one could I use in my 91 GSX?

Here's the results from CAPS.
MD145903 is for a 2L non-turbo AWD (not you).
MD166255 is for a 2L non-turbo FWD (not you).
MD159561 is for a 1.8L non-turbo (not you).

I'm not sure if any of those would work for you because you obviously have a turbo car. Perhaps someone else could shed some light on it if I'm completely and utterly wrong. -Drew

Edit: MD145903 = D27A (1g turbo AWD)
MD166255 = D22A (1g non turbo)
MD159561 = D21A (1g 1.8L)

MD145903 = ECU is from D27 1gen awd turbo 1989-1990
MD166255 = ECU is from D22 1gen fwd automatic non turbo
MD159561 = ECU is from D21 1gen 1.8 sohc

So now i think you know which one you can use

btw. there is no such thing as non-turbo awd dsm

Ok Now My Question Is This I Know I Took Them Out Of A Turbo Car So How Can That Be Possible.

Well those two ecu's are original from non-turbo cars, really don't know what the hell were they doing in turbo car

Haha. Yeah, my bad. I wasn't looking carefully enough. Go with what teme said.

You can use the '90 MD145903 ECU if you swap the pins for the IPS and MAF reset (pin 6 and 14) in your '91. The pins pop out for the ECU harness in less than a min. I do it all the time to test '90 ECU's after repair.

What ECU is in there now and which CEL were you getting?
