I've been reading everything i can about swaping ecu's but its all confusing and i cant find a direct answer, hopefully someone can help. What i'm doing is putting a turbo engine in my N/T 1990 eale talon. I need to get a turbo ecu, but if i cant get a 90 ecu is all i have to do still is swap pins 6 and 14? Or is there more? I have read many forums, and maybe I've just been reading too much and over thinking this but i read about putting a 91 plus ecu in a 90, and converting a n/t to a turbo, not both. Also i have read a few different ways to convert the 91plus ecu to a 90.

Also i know i have to add the pin #6 to the wiring harness which will then be switched wit #14, so really ill move #14 to #6 and add that wire to #14. And add the knock sensor to the ecu.

Please help my brain is actually starting to hurt trying to figure this all out! LOL

The easy way for your swap is find the correct engine harness for your ECU/4G63T year combo.

Also if you keep your engine harness look here :
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-turbo-system-intercooler/48231-installing-turbo-4g63-into-nt-4g63.html

Ive read that page over at least ten times from top to bottom. Ive had some time to think about it and its starting to make since now. Ive built one of these engines already but never did the swap and the ecu swaping stuff confuses me horribly.

I'm just going to prep the harness for the turbo ecu, then change what needs to be changed, for the year of the ecu. If that still is wrong let me know.

If you keep the N/T harness you'll be adding wires not swapping them with any turbo ECU....

If you have the 90 Turbo ECU and grab a harness off a 91-94 you'll need to swap wires...

If I were you I would just swap to a 90 harness and 90 ECU, in order to eliminate any wiring problem in the future, but that's just me...
