Ok, well I read a few pafes of topics and all the other stuff that I should when you are new and I have not seen this question. I have a 92 Talon n/t and want to know if its possbile to convert it to a turbo. I have a way to get the parts, they will come off a 91 AWD talon but hte motor is shot. The ecu, tubo all that is still there and intact. Can this swap be made, what should I look for, what is a fai price and most of all is it worth it. I am not looking for a race car, I already have one of those but I do want to slap around the average honda. Any help would be great because I am still getting used to DSM's. What can I say I am a convert from the Nismo world. Thanks for any help.

Instead of going through the hassle of converting your N/T, why not just rebuild the '91? Was it totalled or something? Man, if could find a local AWD with a blown motor, I'd be all over it.

I would love to rebuild that car but he has already planned on doing that himself. This guy loves 1G DSM's, i think he has 4 now.He built another motor from scratch, totaled the fwd car it was in and is now going to throw it in that AWD, he doesn't need the motor or any of the other stuff now. That leads me to my next question, I asked him about the swap and is it easier to just do the motor/wiring harness and all or the conversion? He said either way but told me to come up with a price because he has never done this before. Anybody have an idea on how much this should cost. Remeber everything is stock and used with 93000 miles or so on the motor....Thanks again

Ok now I am confused. Is the guy you are getting the stuff through playing with a full deck of cards. He is going to give/sell you the parts/electronics out of the AWD so that you can make your car a turbo, then he is going to pull that same stuff along with a motor out of his FWD and put it into the AWD. Heres an idea, why don't you get the stuff out of the FWD along with the tranny. It will save you both allot of work and you will have the LSD from the turbo FWD (atleast mitsu's attempt at an LSD)

Ok, sorry for all the confusion, long story short so here goes. He has a 92 FWD eclipse that he had done all sorts of motor work to but the car was totaled when someone ran a light and hit him. He then went out and found a 91 AWD talon with a bad motor in it, swapped the motor from the 92 and now has all the stock stuff from the AWD left over and is willing to sell it to me and possible install all of it for me if I wanted to do so. He has done all of this for himslef but never for anyone else so he is not sure what to sell all the parts for and how much to charge for the install, all he knows for sure is he has the stuff and time to do it. Any ideas on how much all the stock stuff needed would run?????
