So, my car hasn't been idling recently and after testing the isc tonight, one of the coils is basically shorted (Reads at .678 milliohms). Now that I've narrowed down the problem, I will be ordering a new isc to replace it. That being said, from what I have read, when the isc has a shorted coil it tends to fry the isc drivers. I do plan on taking the ecu apart to verify that the drivers have been shorted, but if they indeed are, where would one go about ordering new drivers?
Also, is it possible that an isc shorting the ecu could sporadically trigger warning lights on the gauge cluster, in particular, the e-brake light, battery light, and coolant temp light? I do know know for a fact that none of the lights are warranted, as the temp gauge reads normally, I have a separate voltage gauge, and my brake fluid is good.
Thanks fellas.
