ECU for Auto Tranny vs Manual with DSMLink

I'm pretty sure the 1G automatic transmission ECU is programmed differently than the manual trans because of the different sized injectors. however, my question is this... i plan to run DSMLink for my 1G, and have found an Eprom ECU thought to be from an Automatic. will this work to run my FWD 5spd since i'll be using DSMLink anyways?

major mods are Walbro 255, 550cc injectors, Big16G, full 2.5" exhuast, FMIC with all hard pipes (probably wont need the AFC much anymore after DSMLink). not sure if the ECU will revert back to it's original state of only enough fuel for the smaller inj on the auto's even if i'm using DSMLink

Why not email the guys @ dsmlink.com and ask them.

They ARE the dsmlink experts.

Are tehre any particular markings on the ECU, sometimes I've seen M/T or A/T

To answer the age-old question:

- Does FWD/AWD matter when locating an ECU?

No. Any turbo model DSM EPROM ECU will work identically for purposes of running DSMLink. You do not need to concern yourself with whether the ECU came from AWD, FWD, automatic, or manual transmission car.
