Hey guys. So I got this 1g ecu from a 94. Im wondering if the damage is fixable or worth it? Also does anyone here have any idea what could all be on this chip? Does anyone still have ability to burn chips and/or see what is done to this chip? I get the 850 and 93/e85 part which I also got the injectors. Deal was too good to pass up.

It may very well be repairable. Looks like typical Cap damage in the usual locations, drivers look good and even if tracks are burned, they can be bridged.

DSMchips (Jeff Oberholtzer) labeled his chips like that, so it's probably one he did.
It would have been programmed to give you about 11.5 AFR with 850cc injectors.
"Knock" on mine meant that he did something to speed up the knock decrement (that's how fast it ramps off your knock retard after it's done ramping up). I had asked him if he could do something to make knock retard less at low rpms and he said no, but he could make the retard go away faster.
"Knock" also meant that it would ignore knock signals from the knock sensor whenever you are not in boost.
I don't know what the 75/65 means.
E85/93OCT I don't know, maybe he had a way of putting a dual map in it but I don't know how you'd switch maps.
I don't know if the label color means anything.

That label on top of the chip is very abbreviated, Jeff would have sent a list of specs to the original buyer.
I have one of these that I used for a few years.
I'll show a shot of it here, and a shot of the spec list that he sent with it which gives a much better idea of all the mods.
BTW my ecu from Jeff was also a 1994 and it was converted to be plug and play in a 1990 car.

If I was you I'd honestly just send it to ECMTuning get it fixed (if repairable) and think about switching to ECMLink.

Eventually Ill switch to link. Really im just trying to see if that would work. I got it for 50 bucks so like I said Im not losing anything. Ill send it in to see if it can be repaired. Didnt really need ecu but got it with injectors and wiring harness for 200. Think I did pretty good

What are you planning to using it for? It's not going into your 90 without extra work. It's a KeyDiver Chip (DSMChips) with a 7500 rev limiter, 6500 stutter, AWD maps, 11.5:1 WOT AFR, Boost Gauge shows Knock, 850cc Injectors, Some sort of dual tunes for E85 and 93 Octane.

Good info. Thanks Steve. I bought it mainly for ecu and get it repaired for another spare. If did use it, it would be going in my 92 with the harness getting swapped and the injectors I got along with ecu.
