Sup Guys,
Just got my shiny new (ok well maybe not so shiny... or new... but anyway...) got my ECU back from ECM link and am going to be running the truboost. right now im wiring everything up and have a few questions.

1. What have you guys done as far as mounting options for the solenoid?? (I'd like to keep the vac lines from the wg to the solenoid straight and direct if possible)

2. I plan on using the switched map feature in V3 to run a secondary map with different timing, fuel, boost, and add meth. Is there a way to have the V3 control the truboost or must everything be done through the guage. (I'm assuming i'll have to manually adjust, just thought i'd ask)

Thanks in advance

You don't need the gauge at all unless your wanting something to look at...

If your wanting to run Speed density you could use the Map sensor output.
But, you could have purchased plenty of other(cheaper) Map sensors alone to accomplish this.

Full V3 link has boost control But to use it, I believe you need Their Solenoid.

FYI:
the Trueboost gauges are notorious for over shooting your boost for a moment from what I understand...

Not sure what you running secondary maps have to do with this gauge... ? It's no going to have anything to do with link aside from a Map sensor input...

I am going to be running speed density, I bought the whole setup with the iat and map sensor from ecmlink.. Is that output specifically for the optional aem map or should I be somehow wiring it into my setup?

OK, understood. My question in a nutshell was basically asking wether the link can control boost using the aem solenoid or not

As far as running secondary maps, I wanted to know if the link would be able to up the boost or wether I would have to do it manually via the guage

bcschoice [ECMTuning - wiki]

"The ECU expects the solenoid to provide around 28-33 Ohms resistance. If you use a solenoid with too little resistance (or draws too much current under any condition), you run the risk of blowing the ECU's internal driver."

According to here, the Tru-Boost solenoid is only 12 ohms.

What is the "whole setup"? if you would list ALL the single parts you have At the Moment...

Please don't tell me you purchased the AEM true boost, then also purchased a separate Map sensor as well?

Right now I have from ECMLink:
the V3,
IAT sensor,
GM Map,
Speed Density Cable (plug n play sd cable from ecmlink)

And yes, as stupid as I assume I'm about to feel, I did buy the additional MAP sensor from ecm link, in addition to the TruBoost

I don't recall the truboost coming with a map sensor but if I didnt need to buy the one from ECMLink then.. :ohdamn:
but I was under the impression I would need it to properly run a full SD setup
