Allright, so this evening I got around to installing my new brakes. I put brembo slotted and crossdrilled rotors (ebay, I know brembo doesn't make them officially), I put Goodridge Steel brake lines, and EBC Greenstuff pads on. It was all going great until I went to put the front pads on. According to the EBC website and brake book, DP2954, should fit on a 97 GST. Let me state for the record it does not. The pad is too large for my brakes. I have written to EBC for them to clarrify and or make them aware that their brake book is wrong and that they need to fix it.

Anyone else have this problem? Will the DP2830 that are listed for 1G series work? Right now I have my old pads in the front and EBC's in the rear (the book was right for the rear). And I need to change out the front pads. Anyone with experience on using EBC Greenstuff on the front for a 2G GST?

I used them on my 95 GST and you either have one of these issue's. Misboxed pads, Wrong size rotors, got ABS or non-ABS pads.

What part number? DP2958 or DP2830? The catalog says 2958 and I believe the correct one is is 2830 (which is listed for the 1G models). I measured my pads in comparison to a set of Bendix Ceramics that I have and 2830 are the right size and shape. The 2958 listed in the catalog is not.

Well I got off the phone with Summit Racing who conferenced in EBC this afternoon. EBC acknowledged that their catalog is wrong for a 97 GST. The correct part is DP2830 and not the DP2954 that is listed. Hopefully EBC will update the catalogue with this change. Also Summit said they would update their catalog and web searches as well. I just thought I would make this clear for everyone incase you want to buy a set of front pads.
