eBay turbo rebuild kit?

i found this turbo rebuild kit on ebay i was just woundering if its ok to get for my TDO5H?

It's something I wouldn't cheap out on. Go MHI and be done with it. Your saving like $20-$40 with that kit?
Versus a whole new turbo.

like he said I wouldnt cheap out on this, how far down the road are you going to go before you have to buy another one. Buy the real one from mhi and be done with it

I'm picky about where I purchase turbo parts, but that's mostly because my reputation as a rebuilder is on the line based on the parts I install. I have no trouble paying a little more knowing I'm buying parts that will not cause me to rebuild someone's turbo repeatedly.

If you're looking for a good budget parts kit, try those sold by Greg on eCrater. They're priced right, you won't find a more complete kit for the money, and I know of a couple guys who have used Greg's kits in their turbos which are still boosting to this day, so we know the parts are durable.

I purchased the exact kit above. The problem is that its for ebay 16gs and such, the bearings are way to big. Though all of the other parts should work. im putting one together as a mixture of that kit and oem bearings. I just found out that the collar and spacer wont slide onto the shaft either. Im not sure if it will even work with ebay turbos.

That's not unusual. I've seen kits from various vendors that came with both collars to work with either flat-backed or super-backed compressor wheel.

wow i bought a rebuild kit for a 14b about a year ago from a place called gpopshop.com and it was $100!
