My fan wont clear the j-pipe im using, and for a quick replacement can I use 2 of the drivers side fans without any negative effects?

he MEANS 2 of the same TYPE dude. The passenger is the big one, the drive is the skinny one. This is a good question as i may be trying this soon too. I have a couple extra sets of fans laying around and i know my big pte isnt going to clear the fan. I dont see why you couldnt use 2 drivers fans but the flow may be a bit less. Im sure that deep shrouded pass fan flows more than the ac/driver side one

boost97gst is right, im talking about using two of the same. I dont WANT to, but my j pipe is too big.

Get a set of slim fans they work better and fit better or take a dremel to the passenger one that's what I did works fine

^ False information. The stock fans will out perform slim fans, UNLESS the new slim fans are in a shrouded setup. If you go the slim fan route, get a shroud with them.

true. do you happen to have the cfm's for each fan? I admittedly havent looked it up yet, though im curious. Im going to be running a downfiring 5858 and would love to keep stock fans. I know i have to dremel so material away but id like to kep the big pass fan and ac fan both if possible. Running a PR fmic.
OP sorry to jack thread, maybe itll help you as well though. Thanks

The slim set up has shrouds and metal fans it has to flow better

I HIGHLY doubt it! The stock OEM fan flow much much more than most aftermarket fans and they honestly do suck.

Just because it's shrouded doesn't make it better than factory, it's about the CFM rating.

Get yourself some SPAL fans rated at at least 1200 CFM each. Recommended is 1600 cfm + per fan which is the range of the OEM fans. Most slim fans are generally 900 cfm or less especially if there is no data listed for them.

Post up a link to the assembly so we can better assess the air flow. Also, having a quality radiator will greatly increase cooling efficiency which can decrease the required CFM for cooling.

Here is the process I had to go through to get decent cooling.
