When I bought my car it had a crappy j pipe on it with a pvc rubber coupler that doesnt fit quite right (does seal up but not for long when boosted hard). SO I bought one of the stainless j pipes off of ebay (just the j pipe not with lower pipe) and its hitting radiator fan. Anyone else had this problem before? Were you able to correct it by moving radiator forward somehow? Clocking compressor housing? Suggestions??

I have a second issue I dont want to start a seperate thread for...

My car also had what i believe to be a chinese knock off 16g on it when I bought it. The compressor housing has NO markings whatsoever and I havent taken time to see if I have a 6 or 7cm turbine housing, but I have looked at compressor wheel and appears to be a 16g....now on to problem

I bought car in end of sept beginning of oct and temps around here were still 65-85 and running on the factory bcs I only built around 12-13 psi and I eventually moved to a mbc and moved that up to 14-15 psi. Well come end of november and temps got down into the 30s and 40s I cant control my boost at all. I switched back to the bcs and boost still shot to 18-20 psi anytime I lean on it at all. From there I ran vaccum line directly to wastegate actuator with as short and large of a line as possible with metal worm clamps to make sure it sealed. WELL I still shoot to 18+ psi and right into fuel cut.

Ive been thinking slim fans just didnt want to have to resort to that, considering both function properly and in the future im planning on running a pretty large t4 setup and at that point I may have to change around the fans anyway.

Ive checked to make sure wastegate actuator was adjusted correctly, functioned properly, etc....What do ya think? wastegate flapper possible hitting in turbine housing?

I had the same problem and just decided to run slim fans. Personally I chose an awesome pair of eBay specials that work great. On my current project I had to place them between the radiator and intercooler because space is a little tighter in my engine bay. LOL

Is it possible to switch the fans around? Meaning drivers side on passanger, passanger on drviers.

I noticed drivers side fan is a good 1/2 inch thinner and would provide plenty of clearence for the j pipe and cause no clearance issues on the drivers side with the turbo or anything.

Running with no pass side fan with the primary wires plugged into the drivers side fan. Works great!
