eBay HALO PROJECTOR HEADLIGHT

I use these. They are not HID. They just have an H1 bulb. But they are bright.

EDIT: Some people have reported that the halo ring burns out easily, but mine have been working for a year and a half now.

so if the halo ring burns out, then what?

Then you don't have the halo ring anymore, just the reg headlights, they are seperate. Doubt you could get a replacement ring & even if you could you would have to seperate the light to install the new one. Personally I would just stick to stock, most of these aftermarket lights are crap. I have a buddy that had these lights on his civic, I don't think it was even a year before the halo rings stopped working and the seals went, so they would fill up with moisture/water.

I have a set of Halo projectors on my car and I like them. I've only had them abot 3 months though so I can't say how long they may last. I have a budyy with a Focus that put some in his car and the halos burned out but he just replaced them with LEDs and it works just fine and it was pretty easy to do.

About the bad seal: Mine came sealed poorly, howeber, I just used some RTVish stuff and made the seal better. I have not had any problems as of yet.

The lights are also brighter than stock.(incase you were worried about the functionality.)

i really like the way that they look, but i am concerned about the functionality. i really hope that the halo rings dont burn out in a year.

I've had mine for at least two years now, and the halos still work fine.

My friend had a civic with halo's and he pulled them apart to clean and get the moisture out and he pulled the wires out of the led's in the halo ring. I had some led's layin around so I put them in and wired them up for him and they looked really good, brighter then how they came. So if they happen to burn out you can just replace the led's

Not all come with H1 bulbs. Most however come with H3 bulbs for low beam and H1 bulbs for high beam. These lights are pretty good if you're thinking of doing a retrofit in the future. I just did mine a couple weeks ago and I love them. Before I did the retro my light output was fairly good but better then stock with the correct level adjustment and Sylvania silverstar bulbs though.

This is how they are setup.... on 2g's 95-96's, they go from left to right: 1157NA H1 55W H3 55W then H3 55W H1 55W 1157NA

for 97-99's 1157NA H1 55W H1 55W then H1 55W H1 55W 1157NA

Trust me, I have seen 4 different brands of these, and I have the genuine Halo's, and the Black backing, not the chrome painted stuff on Ebay... But from others that I have seen, that is how they are setup. I just replaced my turn signals today, one of them blew, and I put in the new Sylvania Silver Star Ultra's in, and they look great...

A buddy of mine just bought some on Ebay, all jacked up and yellow... not good...

So are you saying that I'm lying? Dude I've been through three sets of projectors, I'm not new to this and I've got buddys that have been through projectors and back to stock..I've had APC Chrome Dual projectors, the regular Ebay halo projectors and now these regular projectors without halos which are retrofitted with Acura TSX Projectors with Philips HID's. The APC projectors were the first ones I had and they actually used my stock bulbs and the last two both used H3 bulbs on the low beam side and H1 on the high beam side so don't act like you make these damn headlights. If you have nothing good to say then don't say shit. The best way for this dude to find out what he's getting is if he asks the seller before he buys and most Ebay ads lists the types of bulbs used. Don't think that all Ebay projectors carry the same bulbs...that's very misleading.

Just curious what projectors to retro fit them?

So low beam is H3 correct? I have also heard that H3 are for low beam.

I have these projectors now. I went with these because I didn't want the dual projector setup and I wanted the reflector for my high beam. The projector that came in these were removed and retofitted with TSX projectors. PITA but it was well worth it.

i dont know if anyone has done this, but make your own halos. theres some how to's around the net. i did it to my integra. about 4 hours or work, some plastic blind rods. led's resistors an oven and a dremmal.
i havent done it to dsm head lights but im sure they wouldn't be too difficult
if anyone needs some pointers or pictures my e-mail is [email protected]

Yeah, I remember seeing that guide a while back. Didn't seem too hard to do either.
Here's a link. It's for an Integra, but the process would be the same for any car I imagine.

See, I even said, "From the ones I have seen." Those are the other 4 brands that I have actually dealt with, and it usually is a combination of the 3... H1's, H3's, or even stockers. I never said this is the only ones and that's it. I know there are the JDM's and the knock offs that use a different bulb and setup differently... so whatever, look at the big picture. We are all trying to help the guy out here, and we are....

See, these are retrofitted, but I am talking about the ones strictly made for DSM'S, not others. I have these ones on mine.....

See how mine are setup, a perfect fit for 97-99's, but 95-96's are a bit different, and that is where they might use different bulbs and have a different setup. But other than that, this is how MINE are, so I am using MY experiences to help him decide on what to do next or what he should buy, so quit with your sh*t RWkustoms...
