ebay auto on dl cable,91-94?

does anyone know why this cable says it only works on 91-94?does anyone have it?this is my first purchase after getting my dsm home,the cable should be here monday.

1991 to 1994 1G cars are OBDI . Later models are OBDII use different connector.

just so everyone knows, this doesnt work with the 90.i found out the hard way.
