94 DL coolant light

I have a 94 DL. The coolant light comes on when I havn't drove for awhile and just start the car. It satys on for about a mile, or until the engine warms up. My coolant level is fine and my temp. gauge reads good. Any ideas about what is wrong?

your thermostat opens up and sucks the coolent into the block...thats why it goes off. How long does it sit for the light to come on?

It has to sit for a long time. it only happens when I go to work, so usually about 10 hours. It doesn't come on when I come from work and it usally sits in the parking lot for about 6 hours.

The light will come one immediatly when I start the car.
