Please know what you are talking about before you answer a question

Yes a 91-94 tb will fit. It will take a little wiring and some new coolant lines, but it is simple and quick. I do not remember off of the top of my head what connectors you will need from the 91-94 wiring, but the wiring is all the same. You just need 2 new connectors I believe(if i recall correctly, do not quote me one this, you will at least need the tps connector). The coolant lines are simple as well, just pick up some new hose and have at it.

well i have a 6bolt engine going in in a month that me and my tuner built up, but the ecu is going to be a 91 eprom ecu, I already know I need to use my 93 coil pack and transitor correct? Since im staying with my 93 wiring harness
and Im using the 90 6bolt transmission that came with motor, because my 93 tranny is f'ed up, so I know I need to use my 93s shifter plate on top the tranny, since the shifter cabels are different, so am I also going to need to use a tb set up out of a 91-94 yr 1g? Or can I keep the 90s tb set up and it will work with the 91 ecu and my 93 wiring harness????
( startin to sound like a frankenstine LOL)

( If anything else Im missing from the 6bolt swapping as far as yr variation from my 93 wiring harness and chasis to the 90s motor..... Im pulling the swap off in a little less than a month so any help could be useful.)

I say just throw in youre 93 throttlebody, that why you wont have to rewire it. But you will have to rewire the cas if youre going to use it off the 90. You should swap youre cams too while youre at it. 90 cams are the mildest of all the years.

you dont have to change the manifold, heres this linkhttp://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/show...ttlebody+on+90

The big deal is the TPS interference with the fuel rail pointed out in that link. I didn't have a 91-94 fuel rail so I clocked the new TB 90 degrees(put TPS on bottom) and made a quick bracket to change my throttle linkage location. Other than that everything worked out fine with wiring the TPS. I blocked off the FIAV and ISC so that made it easier to swap.

what is a FIAV i dont know what that stands for...
And i am going to use my 93cas already therefore the 90 tb wont work at all your saying with the 93 cas and a 93 coil pack and transitor...
Is it a matter of different wiring that makes them different?
And yea I have also heard something about the cams being more mild in the 90s head
and the best in the 93 head, but I was getting a head rebuild up( with all new parts going to the head of the 6bolt engine im dropping in) and wasnt using the old cams from the 93 or the 90 engine, i guess its going to be whatever the machine shop rebuilding the head decieds to put in, but I guess Im going to find out what year cams they were thinking of putting in. I guess I should tell them to put in 93 cams ( we are talking about camshafts not cam gears right? ) I mean eventually im going to get some hks cams with 264/ or 272 ( havent too much researched cams yet because its not in the near future ) but could the cams have anything to do with why some 1g dsms were rated at 190 ( eariler models ) and then were eventually all rated at 195 because of the cam issue your talking about.

I am calling the valve that the coolant passes through the FIAV(fast idle air valve), may not be the correct term for it.

Well yea but im getting a whole new head, and my 93 engine i am selling to the guy in exchange for him doing the work building up this one, and dropping it in, and he was already going to let me get the cas off of it, but i didnt think about the tb set up being different and Im not sure hed exchange... Thats my perdicament... He may though, or else I have to scavenge one in the junkyard, but the junkyards are only full of n/ts and a n/t 2.0 wouldnt be of any help to me for the parts i need right?
