anyone who has rebuilt an engine please help me out here, im putting my 6-bolt back together, .20 pistons new bearings gaskets everything, decked and re-surfaced block, re-surfaced head, and a cometic head gasket, now my question is this, i went to put my plugs in tonight, put them in with the engine still on the stand and went to turn it over and it just doest seem like it has much compression. you can feel the hard spots where t.d.c. is but it just doesnt seem enough. i work as a motorcycle tech and have rebuilt lots of dirt bikes and and so forth, and they all have seem to want to stop you on compression stoke, my engine, how shall i say just isnt putting up a fight. how hard wad it for you guys to turn your engines over? need help asap...worried on what might be wrong. thanks for the help guys!!

did you put oil in the cylinders when installing the pistons, dry cylinders on a motor with unseated rings will most likelt not seal to well. Just pull the plugs and pour a capfull in each cylinder, that should bring the compression up a little for you, it will also make your first startup a little easier because you will have slightly hogher compression right off the bat.
