The problem with removing the axle is that there is no ridge to pry against..Put an intercooler clamp around the axle hub..Now you can pry against the clamp tensioner with a screwdriver..Popped mine out in seconds !! Tapping the hub with a small hammer while you pry against the clamp will help if its stuck..The pic shows the hub right after it popped out..This was done on an automatic, awd 1g...
