Looking to upgrade the internals on my motor. I have the 6bolt and I know the internals are strong stock but since the motors gonna be apart what the heck? Was wondering what the difference between the two is and if the 700 is worth it for the crowers as opposed to 350 for the eagles...Any opinions are appriciated

Im not concerned about the pistons...i want to know the diff between these two rods...but thanks anyway :thumb:

From what i have been told by the Shop owner that ported my cylinder head. When I'm ready to do the bottom end of my car if I use Crower rods, my bottom end should be nearly bulletproof. So that is what i'll be using.

im looking for this answer myself, with cars I generally go by you get what you pay for, but there are exceptions.

with the eagle rods it says they can take 600-700 hp, thats pretty impressive for $350-$400. the crower rods on the other hand are 700 bucks but just say 450+hp, so im wonder 450-what hp can they take.

as of right now I think im going eagle, as thats what most of the drag cars seem to be using, and 600 hp would be plenty for me

Look at the HP that each of the rods can take, most likely they will be more than most DSM tuners will make.

Crower is top of the line race car stuff. Eagle is more than enough for most DSMers out there. How much power the rods can handle also depends on how you treat them. You could snap a Crower if you really tried. Some Eagle rods and good forged pistons will be an excellent street/strip combo.
