eagle rods

I got my eagle rods today. They are not cracked though. do they always come this way?

ya thats the way the come, just pull them apart you might need to hit them with a hammer or something.

Just be sure to keep them in the right order and with the right rod.

what do you mean right order, the instructions that came with them only tells me about lubing the bolts with the special lube. thanks

Yeah, I didn't realize there was any special order to them.

Also, on a side note, it would be a good idea to have them balanced.

I meant keep the caps with the right rod and don't flip the cap around. They have to be installed the exact way they came apart. Also to get them apart use a soft tool (not a hammer) The rod sets come balanced,there should be a paper with gram weights on it.

well i got a set I'm not usen brand new in box and there awsome rods, my friend is usin a set of eagle rods in his mr2.there great rods for those who have a 2g,and some what of an upgrade for 1g.I'm still using stock pistons and rods on my 1g,iv got another motor I'm going to build soon and my eagle rods and ross pistons will go in it.with eagle rods you get what u pay for damn good rods.

I hope you are going to check both ends of the rods for roundness and size before using them. Several people in the past including myself had to resize the rods because the were too big on the big end and you will more than likely need to enlarge the bushed end to fit the wrist pins like they are supposed to.
