I have searched and Read post. After reading all of them I am wondering the difference between Eagle and Manley. I deal with Second Source at my job...ADVANCE AUTO... Eagle called me to inform me that they now rate there Rods to 900 hp. Not much into hp rating. I would rather here about load power. How force they can make. But since They say 900 my eyes go big.LOL. Now Manley makes good material. They started with Valvetrain and have worked there way down. If you call Kyle (mitshu specialist@manley) he has many answers. The rods cost the same about, give or take about 50 bucks. Eagle is about 300 and Manley about 360 from the prices I was quoted on. What are your opinons on this subject. Manley rates theres to 600 for H-beam and 1000 for I-beam. I don't think I wanna shove out 700 for something I'll never use. Though it would be nice to have the comfort of a 1000whp rods in a block but again.... NEVER NEED THEM. Thanks in advance for your input. Any sujestions are welcome. Im sticking with Eagle and Manley because They are able to be bought by me way cheaper since I work there. I can also get SCAT, but I called them and they rated them to about 600 as well. Same price at Eagle. So my options are: :dsm:EAGLE - MANLEY - SCAT:dsm:

Well, Im sticking with these because of the price I can get them for. Way below listing and I know the people at the factory. I never really looked at other options because going through advance I am limited to my sources. Thanks for the help Joe. Anyway other sujestions? Im wanting either Eagle, Manley, or Scat. Haven't really heard much about scat, but Im probably going to go with Eagle or Manley, ### the sales man didn't impress me with Scat. And I keep in touch with Manley and Eagle.

Ok, well at this point its pretty much which one you can get cheaper becuase they will both perform equally as well. If you can get the eagles cheaper then i would go for them.:thumb:

If either rod will handle your power goals and are about the same price then go for the lower weight.

The top one third of the rod is reciprocating mass where less is better. Lower reciprocating mass means lower stress on the bearings, and less vibration from second order harmonics.

Lighter rods are always better; that is until they break then you should have gone heavier.

I really cant say how cheap I can get the parts at my store for. I mean, you could go to your local AA...LOL....Advance Auto and get a price quote. Just take the part number with you and tell them is would be under a second soruce. Just take the D off the part number when they type it in. I have been told to go with Eagle more times than I can count. So I believe I am leaning towards them. Anyone else have anything to say on a Rods behalf??
