I am currently starting to build an engine for my talon. I plan on using Wiseco 8.1-8.3:1 Pistons. I was looking at Manley Connecting Rods. Slowboy sells them on their website and say they are good for 800+ HP.

I was wondering if anyone was running this same combination or if anyone was using Manley rods, and what your opinions of them are?

I will be running either a FP3065 or a SCM61 Turbo. When it's all done, I'd like to be making around 500-550 HP to the wheels.

Please only reply if you have any useful information. Thanks guys! :thumb:

though i know my response is kind of biased.. BUt here is what i can give you.. These are at the very least Crower comparable rods. They are the rods we used in our 639 whp motor.. and the most common rod we use on all our stage 3 2.0 kits and and stage 2 strokers..

if you have any questions about them.. shoot them to me

Manley makes good rods. I am choosing between them or Eagle. Eagle now rates there Rods to 900 hp. and Manley is rated to 600 hp. And they are about the same cost. So join the club on not knowing which way to go. Both are great products. Manley does have a hell of a guy that works there by the name of KYLE. Eagle cuts convo's short. Kyle trys and trys to tell you more and more. Call them and talk with them.
