evo connecting rods

hey i have agood edal in 4 2003 evolution connecting rods, and i want o know if somebody hane an idea, if this ones fit my 2G 1997 7 bolt crank. i hear this rods are more stronger than the regular 2G rods. please letme know

Yes you can use them. Yes they are stronger, Some EVO guys say around 600WHP. Remenber STM's EVO ran a low 10 on the stock EVO engine.

I have heard the studs are the weak point. So You could get some ARP studs installed in the rod then have them machined if you wanted to make them a lil stronger

We got some in, thinking they would be a good alternative to the 7 bolt, but they almost identical. They have a bump in the neck of the rod, and that was it. In our opinion, not worth getting new ones, since they cost more than performance rods. Used, not bad, just Recon them with APR's and you should be good.

Yeah they do look almost identical besides that bump. However that bump might make the rod stronger who knows.
