Hey I have a quick question I have searched but have not been able to find a good answer. There's a lot of different answers actually. I wanted to know what the lifespan of e85 is inside the gastank. I run e85 but don't drive the car much at all. So a full tank last me longer than a month.
Also if its bad to have e85 sitting for so long, is there an additive I could add to it? I saw one in autozone the other day, it said it was for e85 but not sure if it'll actually work.
Thanks in advanced.

Do you know what brand the fuel stabilizer was? And did you use the regular one for gas or the e85 one? Also will this knock down the octane rating on e85 or will it just make it last longer.
Thanks.

It depends on how much E85 you have in the tank and your climate. The less fuel you have, the more air there is for the E85 to absorb moisture from, and the more humid the air the worse it is.

You'll know pretty quickly if you have absorbed a lot of moisture; the car will run like crap. :)

So would it be better if I just fill my tank up and try to keep it full between the times I drive it? Would this be better than the fuel stabilizer?

Thanks.

STABIL makes a fuel stabilizer specifically for E85. I use it personally because the investment is small. I like to fill the tank and pour the stabil in the tank while at the gas station. This way the stabilizer has a better chance to circulate throughout the fuel system.

E85 Stabilizer is the green bottle in the lineup, they refer to it as a Marine Application: Deprecated Browser Error

If you are going to store the car unused for a lengthy amount of time, fill the tank. Condensation in the tank might otherwise occur.

I've personally used E85 that sat for a year, and it was a 1/2 tank to boot. YMMV.

Ok thanks for the info guys. I'm gonna go fill up my tank after work and put a bottle of sta-bil in there and wait till the track opens next month to drive it again. Lol.
Thanks again for the info.
