I was wondering if anyone is using e85 and water/meth both? Or is water/meth strictly for pump gas??

What would be better to run in a high 9 sec DD (closest e85 station is 1.5 hrs and I have a 55 gal drum to transport it)?? I plan on the car being drove at minimum 5 out of 7 days a week (for now LOL)

I don't know much about water/meth but got a great deal on AEM's 1 gallon progressive water/meth kit (p/n 30-3000) and have already paid for my e85 tune for when the car is finally up and running..... so I would like to run both but ONLY if it will make an increase in power, if not, which one would result in more whp?

thanks guys!

Well.. even taller then. Play with these and you'll see what I'm talking about:
Tranny gear ratios for DSMs
http://www.f-body.org/gears/

On my combo, using a straight 26" OD tire - In 5th gear, 200mph comes up at ~7100rpm. Hell in 4th 200mph rolls over at almost 9000rpm exactly.

70mph highway cruises at 2500rpm LOL

Current SCTA Record for my "most likely" class is 228mph which would be only 8100 in 5th or 10,200 in 4th.

I've got the power to do it, but it will take a lot of time and work before the car will be legal to go that fast. Just as well, I'm doing this incrementally.

There is much to learn and many bugs to work out anyways.

But we're getting off track haha

I run e85 and water meth on my car and I love it. It noticed a big differance when I installed the meth kit. I would be careful storing e85 for an extended period because it does collect moisture wich bring the ethanol content down.

Thanks staytrue2007 that was the exact answer I was looking for!! :thumb:

Landspeed I was thinking I would be close to what you are saying, I think I will be at about 650awhp on e85 flowing 72+ lbs/min with 50% water/meth mix with two 550cc jets. I plan to push the limits of my whole build and would love to find a way to get 650+whp out of the setup

And no worries about getting off topic, I enjoy learning about new things like the fwd final drive ratio :thumb:
