Recently my e-brake light has not been going on. I have no idea why either. I installed my turbo timer last summer and everything worked fine, all the wires were spliced correctly and everything was fine. I have no idea if it might have something to do with the cold weather, but now when I pull my e-brake up the light doesn't come on. It comes on when I turn the key (bad alternator maybe?) but then goes off after I actually start the car. Does anyone know what could be wrong? Thanks in advance.

Make sure the switch is making contact when the brake is pulled. If it is, unhook the timers wire from to the e-brake wire and try it then, it might be a wrong polarity issue making the car think that the brake's not pulled.

The switch is a normally open ground switch and if your tt works it isn't the switch or your tt is incorrectly wired. If it is on during the acc or off position but not on during the ignition i would say blown fuse or a wiring issue with the tt.

ok...bulb isnt burnt out because of it turning on when car is in the acc position, not a bad alternator... turbo timer works properly... are you sure the e-brake is grounding out when youpull it up? do you have a ground for sure? i would check it because if its not grounded the light will not turn on.

It's very strange...now the light goes on when I pull the brake up. And you're right, if the light doesn't go on then the turbo timer doesn't keep the car running and it shuts off when I remove the key. I'm thinking it has something to do with my actual e-brake wire. Maybe something is coming loose? I don't really know what could possibly come loose though. I mean, theres the wire, then where it's spliced into my turbo timer, and then it clips into another wire. Very strange these DSM's haha.

Oh, and one more thing. My friend just told me about the "blue wire mod" when I told him I spliced my turbo timer into the o2 wire. Should I be worried about my readings being messed up now? I never really read anything about it when I was installing it and now that it's like 6 months later I'm hoping I have nothing to worry about.

My 90 Talon's e-brake light do come on every now and then as far as I can remember. What I have been doing is to take the brake fluid reservoir cap off and retighten it. The light will not come on for maybe 3-4 months later. Mine probably has something to do with the fluid sensor in the reservoir.
