ok, i've read on here, that the e brake light staying on usually has something to do with the alternator, ok but why would the low coolant light all ways stay on?... i've checked the fluid and the car never over heats, but my question is are the two light being on connected in some way or do i have two things wrong?....

Turn your key on and see if your battery light comes on during engine start up. The sign for an alternator being bad is - Battery light AND brake light at the same time. The coolant light has nothing to do with the alternator.

Alot of times the float sensor on the bottom of the resevoir gets stuck to the bottom, all you need to do is take the resevoir out of the car and run hot water through it for about 5 minutes. Clean out all the gunk and it should work (well it did for my 1g anyway). As for the E-brake light, have you checked your brake fluid lately? If your low on brake fluid your E-brake light will stay on. You might also need to change the rear brakes if thats the case, but start with the fluid.

aight i checked it out and the brake fluid was REALLY low ,about to start sucking in air , but i don't believe that is did.
I took out my overflow and cleaned out the sensor, to see if i could get my radiator light off and the thing was full of gunk , cleaned it put it back in and then i realized that my radiator light wasn't on , it was my washer fluid light because somehow i messed up the sensor when i cleaned it and it made the radiator light come on!
So i'm going to buy a new sensor for that, but why is my washer fluid light on?? when i got washer fluid in the front and in the back?..

Go to your resevior and check the connection of the sensor that tells you that the fluild is low. Make sure it's properly connected.

If there's even the possibility that it could have sucked in air (remember, the fluid level goes down when you push the pedal) a brake system bleed would be in order, for safety's sake. Really not hard to do solo with a $20 MityVac.

Please use proper caps when posting in the tech sections of the forum.

man im getting that same problem except the temp gauge goes up slightly but not all the way and the yellow cage light along with the brake light comes on. When i throw it back on neutral the temp goes back to the center of the gauge..
