I have the 05/06 Outlander caliper brackets installed with stock dust/splash shield. I've bent it back to accommodate the larger rotors but they flop around and vibrate.

Would the Outlander dust shields work?
Are there any other options?

Outlander brake swap guys, please chime in.

Just eliminate them and secure your brake lines so they don't go near the rotor. If you do any track events also shield the brake lines (I use high temp rubber hose covered in reflective tape, secured with metal ties).

I have SS braided lines. Will that be enough?

I pried my OEM shields out with a screwdriver. ~1/2" of clearance all the way around the rotor. The squared lip is now angled on mine. After modded, I powdercoated them.

The short answer for your own safety is no. Long answer is that it can be up to a point, and while I found that point personally on my car in racing (i.e. I started damaging the unprotected lines with heat), I don't know anything about your car and couldn't really guess when it will become an issue. At a minimum at least secure the lines close to the upright with something, but if it were me I would do the cheap heat shielding trick I described just to be really sure. I mean it costs so very little to throw a cut fuel line over the brake line and then stick on some DEI reflect-a-gold.

I would keep the splash shield you wanna keep rust to a minimum. You can use universal ones from local places oem just modify them. Keep metal protected.

Old bump. Here's the stock GSX splash shield behind Outlander rotors after a bit of prying and a fresh coat of powder.
