Ok story time just right now going through mc donalds drive thru...
I pull around the store after ordering going to the window and see a 2g rs parked same color as my car with 17in rims but skinniest tires ever..so as I'm waiting in line the guy handing out food notices my car and keeps looking at it so I figured he was the owner of the rs. I pull up to the window and..

Me: it's pretty nice but you need some thicker tires
Him: oh yeah I messed up on the tires. I wanna slam it put a stage 2 and a body kit on it

Me: yeah it's a gst I have a different engine than you it comes stock with the gst, rs and gs aren't turbo they have 420a but the gst and gsx are the have 4g63 engine
Him: oh yeah gs"R" and gsx are alright(yes he said gs"R") I could always overhaul my engine and make it gsx or gs"R"
I finally get my food and just leave and leave it at that I was so frustrated with him first saying gst are "alright" then calling it a gsr?? This guy should not own a Dsm,sadly he's clearly a jdmer

I was at a muffler shop getting a high flow cat installed when another DSMer with a 2G came in also with a beaner looking eclipse with the joker painted on the car and with cards all around it........anyways he gets out of his car and ends up being a white guy; so he starts to talk to me on the work done to my car so I tell him, so then he tells me that he has a v6 on his car with turbo swapped out of something else which he had no clue what it was saying that his uncle installed it. So then the the guy that works at a muffler shop who happens to own a DSM also and happens to be working on his car hears the conversation and starts to laugh at the guy saying that all he is saying is BS because he just took a look at the engine and saw that it was nothing like the dude said it was. So then the owner of the riced DSM he starts to tell us how he somehow knew that his car wasnt a v6 with turbo because it was slow and he would get smoked by daily drivers....end of story. Oh and the engine ended up being a 420gay and the funniest thing was that he pointed at his alternator and said that it was his turbo let me get some things cleared im white/hispanic and im not trying to offend anybody but its just that I would expect a mexican to be driving a riced out car like that but it ended up being a white guy

Was at a car meet a few years back, we had this guy pull up to us in his 5.0. I was trying to talk to the guy asking him why he would go out of his way to make his car intentionally slower.
He looked at me with a blank face. So I pointed out his huge ass 22inch chrome wheels, and tried to explain rotating mass to him.

His argument was that his 22inch solid chrome wheels were way lighter than the stock wheels

Oh and about 3 months ago another conversation with a Camaro guy at work
Him: Is that your black car out there in the parking lot?
Me: Yeah
Him: It sounds kind of rough at idle
Me: Yeah, its the crowers 2's, I love them.

I go to Autozone today to get some hoses and a PCV valve.(the valve is temporary until I get my check valve in the mail.)
I walk in and the clerk asks what Im looking for so I tell him.
He shows me where the valves are at so I start looking for the one I need. I find about 5 Mitsu style ones so I pull them out one by one and test them to see if they block the air from going back into the V/C. Dude looks at me allWTF

ME....I run a boosted car and need one that actually blocks pressure from entering the crankcase. (4 of 5 valves failed to block anything at all)

FAT DUDE cutting me off mid sentance.... That makes no sense I USED to own a 450 HP turbo sentra. Explain to me how the turbo pressurises the V/C area.(he was being sarcastic with the last part like his owning a Sentra meant he knows all)

I tried to explain again and he just continues to be rude. So i told him to get the hell away from me and good luck.
This guy really got under my skin with his attitude. Like Im a complete moron and have no idea what Im talking about.

My saturn had a dipstick for the manual trans as well. It was hard as hell to reach from the top, and you couldn't see it from the bottom. And by them time you got it out without removing the entire air cleaner assy you just smeared trans fluid everywhere.

Strangest thing is that it was a 5 speed manual gearbox and took GM DEX-III auto fluid per the shop manual.

I just got my GSX running and slightly tuned on link, I was low on gas so I pulled up to the gas station right down my block. There was a red Eclipse same color as mine with a HORRIBLE bodykit straight out of a video game, some euro tail lights and the stock 97+ turbo wing. Now I always say "to each his own" so if the person likes it I couldn't be happier for them. They were just coming out (with a bunch of monster energy drinks I might add ) and I was just walking past their car the following conversation ensued.

Me: "Hey, nice Eclipse!"
Him: "Thanks bro. That one over there is yours huh? Where's your hood?"
Me: "I just got it running today, a little too lazy to put it back on until I am sure there are no fluid leaks."
Him: "Oh nice. Is it turbo?" (I have a giant SSAC front mount, trimmed bumper mouth, hell you can even see the exhaust manifold and bov)
Me: "Yeah... Evo3 16g, full supporting mods, hks cams, basic bolt ons and tuned on link"
Him: "Thats cool and all but no disrespect that's pu$$y $hit compared to this beast"
Me: "Cool, what's done to it? Wanna pop the hood?"
Him: "Yeah its got a GT35 turbo, I'll show you" (swear to god, opens his lambo door, hits a button on the center console and his hood pops)
Him: "The motor is done up right with all the good stuff in it. It's got a Stage 7 transmission and runs 10's all day without even trying. I have a second turbo coming in the mail and I'm gonna put it on when it gets here."

Now, I smiled, nodded, said my goodbyes and walked away. I did not have the heart to tell him he had a stock, N/A 420A with a rattlecanned valve cover and an extremely dirty air filter.



Oh, and his buddy with him was wearing a shirt that said "eat, sleep, race" and was backing up everything the ricer said with "yeah" "f yeah dude" "so fast" "no chance" haha. It was good stuff.

What the hell is a GT35 turbo? I've heard of GT35R, and GT3582R but never just GT35.... Reminds me of the days I didn't know shit about turbos, and since I saw someone online selling a "turbo kit" for my car I assumed Advance Auto would carry one...

I had a kid start talking to me at a party last weekend about hus Subaru Forester. He started claiming he had an STI engine swap in it but he just hadn't turbocharged it yet. Then he started claiming that it will be capable of 38 psi on the stock forrester internals. THEN he started saying that he is going to run two intercoolers. I tried to explain that one IC that cools sufficiently would be enough, and that another IC will increase lag, but he wouldn't believe me. Then he started saying that the back pressure from his hi flow cat will decrease the lag because the pressure in the exhaust will keep the pressure in the turbo system.

Then he tried to tell me that he used to own a Porsche Boxter that was quad turbocharged, running one turbo to each cylinder, pushing 47 PSI each. and that it ran 8's all day long. I wanted to hit him in the face so bad.

just the other day i was talking to a fellow member and i was stating that im going to break 500 awhp within the year when i jump to 2150s from my 850s and go e85, then he says i just put down 486awhp this summer. i said with what mods? he says 860cc injectors(who the f@@@ makes 860s) a 16g on 20lbs, bc 272s on pump gas ) it honestly pissed me off because he has no clue what hes talking about.

Lots of companies make 860cc injectors.... A simple google search will pop up plenty of STI, Supra, Evo, etc guys running 860 Injectors. Helix, HKS, FIC, Precision, I am sure you could find some that will fit a DSM with a good search.

But yeah, 486 with a 16g and a stock block? BWAHAHAHA. 400 is pushing the limits of the 16g on a 2.0. Maybe with a 2.3 and some aggresive cams, and meth or e-85....

ive only seen the pte 880s and fic 850s, but would you have to modify the pigtails to make them work? if so hes def not that smart and only 20psi to reach 486 awhp hahaha
