yeah, its 140 at the crank..... so i'm impressed at his 170whp stock... not to mention the pall walker shoutout and the one bolt on to net him over 200whp... sad thing is i can see him easily conning someone with this unrealistic gains.

Just grabbed some sub way and was heading home when I seen all the car guys parked in the ace parking lot. One of which has a lime green GS. Some of the parts on his car came off my old GS. At any rate I was in my 1997 Comp Trans Am.

well when i see the engine its stock EVERYTHING. fuel sytem/intake pipes/turbo well you do the math.

also yes he said "6" speed, that should tell you how much he knows

I would have said? You counting Reverse? Then when he started telling me how I dont know shit I would rub it in his face that I also own a 1997 Comp Trans Am with a 4:10 rear end, Full Spool Full Bolt ons and more and it REALLY Does have a 6speed I get some sick joy out of making people look like the dumb ####ers they really are. Its one thing if they truly don't know and they let you know they are not 100% Positive what they are saying is correct. But its another when they are full of shit, Know it and still talk like they are the know all be all

I completely agree with this statement.

Now, I don't know a lot about cars. Last year at this time, I had no idea how a piston worked in unison with the crank. I didn't even know how a turbo functioned. I just jumped in and got my hands dirty, learning along the way. I still don't fully understand all of the aspects of my engine, muchless that of something carb'd or bigger.

I do know, however, that I usually won't say something that I'm not fairly sure is correct. If I'm wrong and can be shown that I'm wrong, I'll admit it and learn the correct facts about it. If I don't know the answer to something, I will not assume that I do and just go about as it being correct. Just like I didn't know what an AFPR was. I had a general understanding, but I flat out asked before I assumed that I knew what it was.

=/ What's so hard about admitting that you don't know what something is? Or that you need to learn more? We have too many people around here that do that....

But there was this one time, my senior year in high school. I had just swapped out my stock T25, and my friend from school who had a GS-T blew his turbo, so I sold it to him for pretty much nothing. He installs it, and the runs around school telling everyone he just got a new turbo and is running 10s and has over 500hp. I thought it was funny. That's MY...STOCK...turbo in that car. I 'd.

During the ride in my gsx, he gets the idea to try and impress me with his knowledge of cars. He starts out by saying that the eclipse is his favorite kind of car. I was starting to like him already. So I figured he could count under the category of future dsmer. And then the nonsense began.

me: You must never have worked on turbo cars then? That is the sound of one. Belts screech.
him: No. Turbos go *insert BOV sound* I haven't even heard yours do that.
me: (trying to not be a total jackass) No. Turbos spin really fast and make a sound like you're hearing. When it's time to stop spooling that sound you are looking for happens. (trying to put it in lamens terms for the kid) Its not an air leak. Its the air being released on purpose. But mine is just run back into the system so it isn't wasted. Thats why you cant hear the *BOV sound*
him: I'm gonna have my dad tell you what's up cause you don't know what your turbo should be doing. You need new belts too. I'm sure of it.

Needless to say I told my sister that that guy never gets to touch her car as long as shes driving. And he never gets to touch her while I'm still alive haha. Poor misinformed kids. They are just too stubborn to learn sometimes.

People like that piss me off so much. I say "people" because sadly it isn't only 16 year-old kids that don't know anything, but think they do. I'm unfortunately not the type to want to let someone go believing misinformation and usually argue to no end even though it's not worth it.

He also told me he had a supercharger (never heard it), and that he didn't ever run a boost gauge (idiot). He said he had slotted and drilled rotors on. (I looked at the rotors and they were stock), I told him they're not slotted and drilled, he said it's on the other side of the rotor.

VERY highly contagious, EVERYBODY here in ny is getting a K series swap.

I personally dont got anything against them, but they have LARGE ego's.

I actually don't get that. First it was the h22, now the k series engines..I guess honda guys just have to kept trying. Maybe one day their wishes of a fast car might be answered. z.

Mmm.... depends on how clogged up the TB was due to the amount of pudding you sucked into the intake trying to install a Mini-Turbo in each Cylinder.

Yesterday I got all excited because I found out about two guys in my town with a GST and one with a GSX that was being built from the ground up. So I started asking questions.. and the guy sounded like he knew what was up. They were building the GSX for a Track Car, looking for 500-600AWHP... got the internals done (named off Eagle, ARPs, Cometic) and other things. I was truly happy.. until this..

" Yeah, my GSX is pretty much stock, just saving up a bit to order ECMLink and a few other things. "
" Yeah, we're waiting to order DSMLink too. "
" Oh? Awesome. Share tunes. ;P! "

I was in the left lane to make a left turn, and the honda on my right (going straight mind you) Revs his sohc engine with his intake noise. I look over, StutterBox back, His face turns into =0 doesnt know what to do, then starts revving again like he has something that can beat me. ahahaha Priceless.
