My pops older mountain max 700 triple was fully rebuilt, carbs, reeds, clutch, bored, custom drag pipes, ran on the klotz race gas with (nitro methane?) additive, would hit 109 mph on a drag across a lake. The only thing holding it back from getting more was the belt would slip.... This was 12 years ago. I can only imagine the speeds hit with the turbocharged 4 strokes and whatever else they have now.

I was 155lbs at the time. The race in question was against a Yamaha Vmax, 4 cylinder 2 stroke, quad carbs, race suspension, lightweight front end... basically a snow bullet bike on steroids. I won.

He says yes. This was only a week and a half ago.

BACK on topic, a customer just came in yesterday and was swearing up and down that his Audi has a button to turn the turbo on and off. I asked him to show me and he said it used to be on the factory radio but he got an aftermarket DVD player. Same guy has electrical tape over his cluster to block the check engine light.

That's been around for a long time. Started on I believe vwvortex, back when I had my passat 9 years ago I remember seeing this. Its gone around the block a few times now.

Damnit I don't like the wrex crowd... and this just makes me want to walk all over them even more.
Ten minutes ago:

I park my car at the store to hurry and grab money orders and a couple things for my daughter. As I'm getting out of my car this wrx comes and pulls up next to me very quickly... like too fast for a parking lot with random people walking anywhere they want.

So I keep walking in, when I get in I turn around and these two kids are lighting up smokes and walking around my car, putting their greasy mitts on my windows and whatnot... I see em walk away and I shrug it off and get my stuff.

So 15-20 minutes go by and I'm headed back out. I see that they are still there doing something to his car... great. So I walk up and couldn't really fathom what I was seeing... one kid was stuffing jackets in the trunk around his box, like 10-15 jackets and hoodies. And the other kid was snipping a grill out of some cheap azz expanded metal, most likely from the home depot across the street.

I put my key in the door and try to be the invisible man, because I knew what douche question (s) were coming.... I wasn't so lucky.

"Hey man nice car"
I say thanks and that's it, as he is staring at me waiting for me to say it back... I don't.

Then (I'm assuming the driver) drops it, "all I wanna know is, how many psi you runnin?"
I put my bag in the car and roll my eyes, "18 for now"
"Oh man 18 for now? That's a lot!"
Me "yeah probably too much for that thing" nodding at his car. "Have a nice day guys."

Get in, leave. Lol

I hear more of this crap from Cobalt and Nissan drivers.
