This has to be longest thread ever especially on ricers! Wow it's like 6+ years long ... Anywho, this O'reilly that is the closest to me has some real winners but when the car is down and I need stuff pretty fast it is a must to stop by ricer ally. The first time I drove my car up there this dude that doesn't even have a car but at least he has a job goes on to tell me about a 700hp Evo that he had in Florida. I sense instant bs so I blow it off. The second time I drove the car up there for a obdII scan the guy asked if he could drive it and in my mind i'm like you wouldn't even fit into it. This other moron has an ek civic hatch with some pretty nice 16's and it's lowered so I ask if it's the stock 1.6 and he says no "bigger" I then replied, oh so a b18 huh and he goes no "bigger" so I go oh you must be k20'd and he goes ya. I go oh nice is it stock and he says no, "I am in the millitary and I just order parts and my brother puts them on". Once again I blow it off as complete bs ricer shit thinking man, he does have a hellaflush sticker on the back window wtf am I thinking asking this dude about anything other than an oil filter, the only reason I asked was because he actually made a good choice on wheels for it. He then replies ya, these little boosted civics around here ain't got nothing on it. I can only think of a few boosted civics around here and most are 500+hp . He then continues about his motorcycle inwhich he does have and about how fast it is and funner. It has a red bull ebay sticker kit ontop of the wrong kind of blue for red bull and looks really shitty. None the less I will ask him to run his k20 for some $ and shut his ricer ass up the next time he feels like yanking a leg.

Leave the guy with the Civic and suspected BS alone. You don't need to challenge every person out there who wants to tell a story, unless you have some sort of inferiority complex. If your mod list is accurate, and the car is running top shape, you'd probably take him in the end (likely losing hard off the line) at a TRACK, but he wasn't "hating" on your car so there's no reason to at all unless you do it as a friendly competition. I mean, as your story reads, you were the one asking all the questions.

Even if you think he's a ricer, if he's minding his own business, let him be. Don't make DSM drivers out to be just like (many) Mustang, Camaro, and Firebird owners.

I've got a feeling that if I picked a fight with the mods here I'd get banned too, and I'd deserve it. Saw a gst with aftermarket exhaust on it so I asked the guy at the store who's car it was.
Guy says mine.
So I just asked a few minor questions on it and got a bunch of stuff.
It has an iron 1g 4 bolt block that he put in so he wouldn't get crank walk with the aluminum block that came in the 97's.......
It has an upgraded garrett turbo.
Oh and with no tuning solutions it has about 350hp.

Anyone want to bet if it has a t25?

He asked what I had and told him a talon awd swapped with a hx40.
He asked if I bought the awd gsx kit and also thought it had a chrysler motor.

I see a car that potentially I could buy when he has trouble with it.
