okay guys this is the funniest thing I've ever heard someone say. My buddy and I were at a gas station and the gas station attendant walked over and heard my buddy mike say "yea when I get my gst done it should run pretty good" the gas boy said "yea that's what I need , I need a truck." funniest thing I ever heard. What does he think a gst is?

The guy probably has no idea nor care to know what it stands for in reference to an Eclipse. Can't fault him for that. Possibly, he knew exactly what it was and believes, possibly with good reason as far as he's concerned, that a truck would be better than a GST.

Hence, he hears "GST" and thinks "yeah, I gotta get me a truck (instead)."

Who knows, but no point in faulting him for not knowing what three letters mean. It's not a dumb thing he said.

A dumb thing would have been saying "yeah, you should supercharge the inline-6 that they come with and put down 5000hp to all seven wheels."

That dsm owner is setup for failure in life, . I have the letters DSM on my rear windshield, and somebody wrote underneath the letters with with window chalk "Di** Sucking Maniac" I was soo pissed. Whoever did it, chalked every car on my street.

People say that all the time: maniac monster, etc. I Just tell them "Like I haven't heard that one before". Its like when I ran track and everyone would see us "run forrest Run!" real original. My mom has on 06 Mustang GT and before I bought a daily I would drive it when the Talon was down. We'll someone asked me what DSM was and he said it stood for Drive Someone's Mustang. Only good one I've heard.

Here's my addition:

1) I used to have a I<3DSM sticker. The mitsubishi dealership here sucks, I had a 99 spyder that theyd always mess up. So with the talon (eagle) I was like ima take it to Dodge. I dropped off the car to replace clutch (blew it up my first standard ) all the belts and hoses. I'm walking away and he asked me what DSm stands for. I turned and asked him if I could have my car back.



2) I gave my co worker a ride to lunch, we usually take his car because its quiet and I'm lazy. So we get going and he says
"Where's the turbo button at?"
I told him there is no button its "on" all the time. "He said he thought there was a button" I told him"maybe you are thinking of NOS" I downshifted and showed him and he was like "hmmm"

And my uncle has to always argue with me about my car, saying I don't shift at the "right times" and my turbo should be replaced with a supercharger. I'm just like dude, this isn't need for speed and the turbo is ideal for my setup.. Lol its amazing how oblivious people are when it comes to eclipses and turbo

And your right about dealerships, except theres a good reason why dealerships are bad. Along with corner shops, and pretty much all business owned machanic shops not just dealerships, is because your always on a time watch, i mean delerships its basicly have to get it done as soon as you start, and alot of tecs make there money by timed jobs, so lets say if you do a break job and you get about iduno 2 hours to do it..(i dont kno the correct hours its all in the computer) You want to finish as quickly maybe half that time so you can get paid for the 2 hours and move on to the next job, so its all pretty much a rush game and thats why theres so many mistakes. And alot of corner shops are just as bad just because alot of them try to rip you off just as bad as the dealer, along with your dsm shops that ive come across to be even worse so if your not doing work yourself then your going to get fuged either way.

Haha I love this arguenent but guys in ny you have to hook up a car to a machine to inspect it. Idk about other states but here you do. And I had a 95 gst that I just pulled the bulb because you don't have to hook it up if it is before 96 you just visually check if the light is on. So I pulled the bulb. Brought it into school. Oh look no check engine light, ok it passes inspection.

I'm a mechanic for a living at the moment so I know what it's like on the otherside. They bring it in for something simple like a brake job and stand there and watch you, bug you, and ask about everything else wrong with there ratty ass vehicle.

I've had some WATCH ME do a brake job, go down the road and the next day they're fuel pump quits and blames us for it. Some people do it to scam you into repairing shit they don't want to pay you to fix.

There is some dum dum on the DSMTuners facebook page that posted about how his t25 equipped 2g GST running 10 pounds of boost beat a new Charger SRT8 and how V8's suck and all that jazz.

A new SRT8 Charger traps 112mph+ and he's lucky if he drives a 92mph car. He would get his shit pushed in by an SRT8 Charger so bad his eyes would turn brown.

I'm waiting for my approval so I can reply to his shenanigans.

I'd see the rods shattering first taking out the pistons, and probably the valves if not the block... rod failures are nasty. Not as nasty as a crank failure but hey, if you want to run 30psi on a stock bottom end, you probably deserve what happens.

I'm selling a Honda header/test pipe the new honda (non k20) has the "header" built into the head, so there is only one port out. The header replaces the first pipe and the cat so technically its a testpipe, but they still market it as a header.

This guy texted me asking if it would fit his 98 talon. -_-

Everytime he said it he'd say headers too, every time I replied I put header. Hate when they use plural on a 4cly.

Usually how I play along with turbo kiddies:

Used to run 30psi off a compressor the size of a bagel bite but power sucked along with gas milage for like, whatever reason. Swapped out for a gnarly hx35 and wham bam 15psi blows doors off. Other turbo musta been bad. Totally.

Basically educate the ones that will learn and just entertain the ones responsible for the saying "ignorance is bliss". You can always tell the two apart.
