DSM's with cargo Roof racks?

Hey guys i really want to get a cargo roof rack for my 1g dsm and i saw this 1

do i have to get the cross bars to be able to mount this?

and i just wanted opinions on what you think of this and if anybody else has cargo roof racks on there DSM's if so could you post some pictures please.

It's actually not a bad idea..If you cannot fit stuff in the car with the seats down.Why not use a rack on the top of the car.

I do have a problem with putting holes in the roof, but as long as it's functional.

And as long as your not putting a dog carrier on top of your car and driving to Canada.Boom two jokes in one thread.

There is a complete rack for sale, but at a price I would think twice about it. If you want to (create) something that you think will work it is all yours, but I will NOT be responsible for any problems! You could always put up a (WTB AD) and hope someone has one (For Sale).

I was thinking about a roof rack for the shootout this year.

Something that is temporary (no holes drilled).

With the camping thing going on this year, and bringing two toddlers, could be useful.
