DSMlink ?'s

Ok, I just bought a 2g DSMlink and 95 ECU, its shocked installed everything in my car.


Motor broke.........


First question is can i use the 2g DSMlink chip on a 1gen ECU if im swapping to a 6bolt motor?

Second question...........if not what should I do? Build a 7bolt motor? or try to sell the DSMlink?


I just spend over 800$ and now I have this problem, Id rather go 6bolt but im running into the wall trying to figure this all out.

If you are going to put a 6 bolt in your car, dsmlink is going to be great. When you put a 6 bolt block in you still use the 2g ecu. There is a lot of information on here and elsewhere about the swap. Its pretty widespread.

DSMlink will be great to get rid of the random misfire problem that many people have with the swap.

So I can keep my 2g ECU and 2g DSMlink with a 6bolt block and 2g head? Ill just have to change my CAS correct? And make the wiring harness for it to?

Correct, you don't swap ecu's when you swap to a 6 bolt motor.

I'm not trying to talk crap about Dsmtuners, but the Dsmlink forum is a lot better when it comes to getting accurate information. Especially regarding Dsmlink questions.

Could it be that you bought an illeagal copy and cannot get onto their forum? If not can you give me your screen name on DSMLink (as GSTdude06 does not exist there) and all will be cool
