please help me out

Get your ECU chipped and forget all about the AFC.

The DSMLink will do everything you need it to.

As for the wideband, they are still very useful in tuning but odds are with the Link you will be tuning for Knock so a WB really isn't mandatory.

With your mods you should be fine using just the link to tune with.

Well, i have a safc, keydiver stage 3 chip and a wideband. My car runs like ass. I have no timing advance. It goes from 30 to 4 and stays there. I cant change it. Best thing to do is to seel the afc and get a wideband with the dsmlink. As soon as it gets affordable for me, I will purchase dsm link and let you guys know how it works. For now, keep the dsmlink, get rid of the afc and buy a wideband. A friend of mine has a dsmlink and he still needs a wideband because he doesnt know what causes the knock. He got rid of the maft because it caused em to run really rich somehow.

Sell the AFC. And get a wide band so you can know your air/fuel ratio, it will help a lot when it comes to tuning.

Keep the DSMLink, best thing you can get short of a full standalone and it is alot easier to tune than most think. Also, buy that safc from your friend, keep it for a month without installing it (so he doesn't see your scam), then sell it. You can easily make 70-100 bucks off that thing that you can use to chip your ecu.

I'm with everyone else, keep the dsmlink, sell the safc. Wideband isn't necessary as dsmlink allows you to log/monitor knock but is nice for fine tunning. What are you getting the maf conversion for? just to vent your bov?

Just as a note you should probably get an adjustable fpr to control the 255 pump as it will overrun the stock fpr, making you run rich as hell at idle & part throttle & will also make it harder to tune.

Like I said, I dont like the maft just because you have to recalibrate it if you what to run it with dsmlink. It was a pain to tune my friends car with dsmlink and the maft, he didnt have a wideband and we didnt have any idea why he was knocking, we took away fuel, then we added fuel, then we took away timing.same thing. With the maft, he was running 8:5:1 afr with his dsm link allready compensated chip. He got it on the dyno and found out how rich he was, so he took it off and put a 2g mas on it, runs fine now.

I don't want to hijack your thread or anything. Just I am having major problems with running way to rich. I am thinking that this is my problem.. I have the DSM link and I havn't recalibrated the maft. When you say he ran without it how did he set that in the DSM Link? Any info you could get me would be awesome. PM me if you don't want it in your thread. Sorry. :dsm:

so with dsm link i can run more than 21psi before fuelcut on a stock 2g mas

If you have a legit copy of dsmlink, then you should be able to access thier forums. Talk to em, they should be able to guise you through it. I am going to contact them soon to see if they are going to work on a speed density setup. Its hard as hell to do that, but if they do, that would be nice.

Yes you can run more then 21 psi. DSMLink gets rid of fuel cut. Even if you are running an alot larger turbo with high boost that is producing enough airflow that the factory maf sensor is not able to calculate the proper airflow (happens around ~2700 hz) you can setup dsmlink to calculate the airflow values for you after a certain point that you enter.

If you are running the evoIII turbo you shouldn't be able to creat enough airflow to use this option. You need something like 50 lb/min to overrun the stock maf, maybe someone who is actuallly using this feature could give you the specific values.

On the original topic... An afc + logger would cost (250+150) = 400... so for 560 you can have all the best tuning besides a standalone. Seems like a no brainer to me....
