I just got my car out of storage and installed DSMLink & made some runs. I just have a few questions. First I wanted to check out my LTFT so I added it in the ECU/Captured Values menu but when I go to the Display/Values menu I don't see LTFT on the list to display, so how do I see it/log it?

Now as far as all the settings go under the ecu menu, all of the changes will get made as soon as you say ok or write to ecu (depending on the pop up screen), you dont need to click somewhere else to write all your changes?

With the 2g version they dont have the memory board yet so you loose all your settings if the battery is disconnected so is there a quicker way to load back the values you had set without going to each box individually and changing them. This might be part of my answer but can someone explain what exactly do the options do in the ECU: Load/Save/Type menues do?

Sometimes you have to do a quick stream of data after you add something to the Display/Values list before it will show up. In other words, after you add LTFT to the Ecu/Captured Values list, hit f11 which does a quick datalog (not saved as a capture) stream. Then, go back to the Display/Values menu and it should be there. I've had to do this on occasion when trying to add something, as well.

Yes, all of your changes get saved to the ecu as soon as you hit OK/SAVE in whatever dialog box you made changes to.

You are correct. To save your settings, go to ECU-->Load/Save/Type-->Save To Disk and then save it in your dsmlink folder. Now whenever you disconnect the battery, all you have to do is hook up dsmlink, click on ECU-->Load/Save/Type-->Load From Disk and find the settings you previously saved.

Thanks man, so I'm guessing that using your above mentioned method you can save different tunes (street tune, race tune) and switch between them whenever you want?

Ok so save to disk saves my current settings & load from disk opens a previously saved settings file. What about the load/save to ecu do I have to save to ecu after I load from disk to actually save the settings in the ecu or are these for something else?

After you load from disk the settings will be loaded into dsmlink. After that do "save to ecu" to have those settings that were just loaded in dsmlink and have them saved in the ecu. You would have to do this everytime you want to switch to a different "tune" so to say.
