I cant get my dsmlink to connect to my laptop... i tried several different laptops and i have installed the driver a number of times for the usb to serial adaptor and I keep gettin IO timed out...help please

Under "options," try the other port. On mine, there are two options COM3, and COM5. Default seems to be com3 so when my laptop battery dies it resets to that, when it needs to be on 5. I have to change it back every now and it times out otherwise.

Also, as mentioned, key "on," and the correct adapter are necessary for operation.
