Hey guys I have a question about DSMlink. I am a noob when it comes to how to use it. I was trying to vent to the atmosphere with my BOV and am wondering if theres any way i can use DSMlink to run off my map sensor. Ive tried searching this but couldnt find anything. And my brother said hes getting a chip for a 1g that makes it run off the map sensor instead of the MAF. So if anyone can help or knows something I don't please help.

you are still going to need a 3" gm mass air flow meter.

If you have ecmlink (version 3.0) you will need a MAF translator to vent to the atmosphere.

Venting is only for sound really. But when you vent with out a MAF and the GM mass air flow you will run rich because the stock mass air flow meter reads pre BOV and the ecu thinks the air your venting to the atmosphere is going back into the system so it adds fuel.

1) Right
2) WRONG. If you get ECMLink, you do not need a MAFT. All you need is the ECMLink cable.

I meant to say unless you have 3.0 you will need a maft Translator! but thanks thats what I get for not proof reading! :thumb:

Okay, so I do need to get myself the whole Maft Translator... right? Just double checking, since the first and second post you put up were a little different. I'm taking the second one to be correct but like I said i'm just double checking.

The idle air clamp does this. I don't have V3 so I can't say how well it works.

Ya it does, i can't say either because i use a gm maf.. I can tell you that the gm maf cable they offer made my car idle 100x better. It actually holds a steady idle with 272 cams and 1600cc injectors on e-85.

Very nice to hear. The only thing that scares me on V3 is the load based stuff. Once I get it, I'll get used to it I guess.
