This might seem redundant, but have you watched the vids on the DSM/ECMLink page? There's a lot of good info there on base setups, and he shows you how to do it step by step.

For starters, link doesn't require a "base tune" since it utilizes the factory timing, airflow, and fuel maps. So all you have to do is change injector settings and you're good to go.

Please pick either the fuel sliders or DA tables (the tables are highly recommended). If so, go zero out your fuel sliders.

Watch this video and replicate on your car. Your idle needs tuned.
http://www.ecmtuning.com/demos/fueltrim.html

Look into getting a wideband (preferably an Innovate MTX-L) so you can actually tune WOT. Until then, go into your TmngMaxOct table, click Track datalog, and lower timing where you get knock. If you're getting 1° of knock, lower timing by 1°. Your timing table also seems a bit wacky since you have a 12° value in the middle of a bunch of 11° values, as well as going 8-10-11 and then 10-9-10-11 across the columns (see 1.8-2.6 load factor at 3000-6500 RPM). This should be a smooth increase.

Ok sorry I have a wideband and I have seen all the videos just need alittle more help with the fine tuning of it ill look into the time tables

You want all the values to have smooth transitions. If you watch some of those videos it tells ya all about it! Its not so complicated as it seems... Good Luck!

Ok this is why im still on probation with this site because I keep rushing things and not setting up my stuff properly first sorry im watching my wideband and it seems to run a tad rich up top but will hook it up and figure it out

Don't worry about it. We all have to start some where.

The factory tune is very rich at the top of a 3rd gear pull (~9.5:1), so that's normal. Once we get the wideband in and the idle taken care of, we can work on the WOT stuff. One step at a time.

new log with a few adjustments still seems like its all over the place with idle and i can't figure out how to smooth it out any more. I got my car from a guy who hacks stuff together so im trying to fix everything. still haven't got my wideband hooked up to the ecu but i am monitoring it as i drive stays around 14.3 to 14.9 at cruise.
Also snowborder714 thanks for the insight and not being an asshole like some people have been on other threads of mine.

why is it in open loop? are you going by afrest? that can and will be way off if everythings not dialed in properly. figure out why it wont go closed loop on idle, it should do it very quickly.

new log want opinions on what doesnt look right and what needs to be changed. sorry it was a long cruise with a few minor pulls.

the only thing i can think of is richen up at idle and pull fuel up top.

have you adjusted mafcomp? i see your neg7% right off the bat. wouldnt that lean out ## idle afrs correct?
im guessing your not running narrowband sim. im used to square wave forms so i cant comment on your NBo2 function. tho it seems to be working.
also adjust you DA maxoct table instead of sliders for open loop function under load. much better than sliders.
so in summary, if your running what u think is way to lean at idle, and it is a little bit lean, then try mafcomp adjust and see if that helps. im learning this stuff too so im no expert.
good luck

the idle and cruise is semi ok im more worried about the going 9.-1 afr in higher tps position need to try and figure out what is going on or what im doing wrong.

ok, like i said: adjust the maxoct table under direct access! open the log, click direct access, maxoct table, click track datalog, detach table and youll see exactly what "cells" your using at any given point in the log. these guys are brilliant really. its so damn simple. i finally watched the video under the "demos" on ecmlink.com. really, you need to do that, then youll see exactly what im talking about. dont worry about afrest so much. the wideband is what your trying to get to around 10.9 or 11:1. so adjust a cell that is rich, go do another run, adjust again. etc. etc.. you pickin up what im puttin down??
good luck bud

OpenLoopMaxOct looks fine; he is targeting 11.5:1 (which might be a bit lean if he was actually hitting it). The timing table could use a bit of tweaking, but it's not a show-stopper at this point.

OP - You're running rich because either your airflow or fuel is not calibrated accurately...most likely the MAFComp. (You have fixed any and all boost leaks...right? ;)) You are also running hot, and there is a weird jump from 190* straight to 210* at 237 seconds for no apparent reason.

There appears to be a lot of electrical noise, especially with the tach signal. Do you still have the noise filter(s) hooked up?

You should always log Battery.

Also, are you aware that you have two DTC's?

1. Did you happen to notice the 2 DTC codes you're throwing? Address those first.
2. Did you wideband really read that lean throughout the pull? If it's reading 20:1, you have some other major issue you need to address.
3. Are you sure you want to be targeting 11.5 AFR on pump? I sure hope you at least have 93 octane.
4. You can't really be worried about WOT pulls if your idle and cruise aren't dialed in well.

What I'd like to see (after fixing the DTC codes):
-idle log with car up to operating temp (after making sure you went through the video I linked to in post #3)
-cruise log, keeping the speed exactly the same as best as possible for at least 20-30 seconds
-one WOT 3rd gear pull from 2k to redline

Then we can see where you're at and suggest changes.

i cleared the dtc's i unplugged the 2g maf and plugged it back in and codes stayed away.
i did exactly what the video said now my dead time is very high but it seems right at idle. the only thing i didnt do was the cruise maf comp

Yup, that's the one in question.

Now that I look at it, I wonder if he was bouncing off the launch limiter, which would be causing it, as well as the other weird stuff going on there.

yes that was on the launch control when it did that
