DSMLink allows you to use a MAP sensor to estimate values of air after the MAF has been overrun. I'm getting the Zeitronix wideband kit with both boost and egt gauges. I was wondering if i could use this boost/absolute pressure sensor, to connect to DSMlink as a MAP sensor? If so, how effective is this when used with a 1g MAS with the smaller screen removed?

This was the reply I got from DSMlink when i asked them;
Yes, as long as the pressure sensor is linear (most all are), then just
about any one will work identically for purposes of the FakeMAF
functionality. It works by sampling the pressure sensor reading at the
time of clamping the airflow reading from the MAF. Then it applies the
pressure sensor reading to the newly calculated airflow reading while
clamped. So if boost increases or decreases from the point at which the
MAF reading was clamped, it will be taken into consideration along with
the VE table values.

Just for anyone else that is wondering. Also, Seeing as how Zeitronix can Have the laptop display digital gauges that are easy to read, i was wondering about signal loss when splicing the wire from the boost sensor and O2 to BOTH DSmlink and Zeitronix. this would allow me to log everything i could possibly want with DSMLink, and allow me to use zeitronix as my gauge system when driving.

SOrry to bring up an old thread but how'd this work out for you???

funny you should ask... My car is still in pieces ROFL

It does work out for some other people. I'm actually having a buddy write some java program so that I can display gauges within DSMLink... cause well.. hes really good at java, and can be bought with whiskey. If he does well enough, I'm going to bet that they will include it in the V3 dsmlink.
