dsmchips or dsmlink

hm i have a 97 gst and i was wondering whether a dsmchips stage 3 chip or dsmlink would be better. my car isn't 'highly' modified, and im lookin to not spend that much as well.

DSMlink is probably the way to go first because once you get dsmchips, you will still need something to fine tune with (aka SAFC). In the end, you may spend less but the functionality of dsmlink can't be beat. And plus, you can monitor and tune all sorts of stuff!

Well it depends on what your goals are for your car. I have DSMlink and love it, you can do so much with it. But if you basically want a very mild car DSMchip might not be that bad. But if your really into going fast DSMlink is the number 1 choice.

i'm getting a good deal on a used s-afc2 for $100 from a buddy of mine. i'm not looking to make my car crazy fast right now at all. i'm just looking for a nice cheap way of going faster. i dont really have the extra few hundred $$$ for dsmlink at the time. my car will only and always just be 'mildly modified'...im lookin to pull 12's with race gas and slicks next year, if i was gonna go crazy all out, i would've bought an awd dsm. traction rules!

DSMLink for sure.. i came from that safc2/egt gauge/1FPS logger combo.. DSMLink was money wel spent on my car.. one of my fav mods

I have an AFC, MAFT and a keydiver chip. I am ok with how the car runs, but it's time for DSMLink.

Even for mild mods you will see where it shines. I would suggest ponying up the dosh and buying one great system once, not fuffing around with the other bits.

Yes you still need the MAFT to run a blow through style GM MAF... but it would be zero'd out.
