15% more. im using baby cams. 262/272s, and dont plan on revong over 8300 (stock tranny) and i dont know how many miles are on the springs in the head. so for cheap (to me) i feel safe with these over stock.

I've found through research that crower springs have barely more seat and max lift pressures than stock. . . IF that is true they why "upgrade" to crower springs?

I think that's a dumb mentality. Like the other guy said, they hold 15% more then stock and come with Ti Retainers to reduce valvetrain weight. A small 16g flows probably somewhere around 15% more then a 14b, so would that be a waste as well, why upgrade right? Because not everyone is shooting for the stars!

I will be running Crower Springs as well. I think it's a great upgrade for those looking for improvement, but not looking for enormus numbers, and who are on a smaller budget. For my DKS2's and 400-500hp goals, they will work perfect I think

I haven't done alot of reasearch on springs but how do the Crower springs/retainers compare to the manley? They are only $10 more and have heard good things about that combo. Are they much better or are they basically the same?

Edit: Actually on the website where I was getting the Manley price on they want about $10 more for the Crower.

 It's not a dumb mentality if you don't believe that they have 15% percent more seat pressure and peek lift pressure! Just give proof and leave the insults for another forum. . . If you even have any. I think commenting about someones mental capacity with out giving proof of why what the think is wrong, and using an adjective that has no relavence to a persons ability mentality in the first place is rather idiotic.

If you can produce evidence, I would gladly agree. Dumb is defined as "unable to speek or speak in a coherent manner". Let's be a little more coherent here:toobad:

I will give my research that is is less than 15% and/or that is not worth the upgrade:

In searching for the quotes I have found before, I found a quote from forced performance that somewhat supports your case. It states that crower springs are good for 9000+ rpms on FP2s/272s. No matter what the pressures are, they perform fine in their testing:

I am perfectly willing to discuss this like an adult. Please refrain from the schoolyard insults:toobad: .

SBR sells the maney spring/retainer set for a hair cheaper than the crowers.

I've run my manley springs on stock retainers w/ FP2Xs to 8500 rpms for thosands of miles now.

SBR quote concerning 101400s (aggresive cams):
This entire year, we have run comp 101400's on both SBR cars, shifted at 9k in my car, and a little over 10k in Nate's car with no issues with Manley S&R kit. Nate did miss a shift once, data recorded 11.5k and Nate did tap a few valves. Not certain if dual springs would have prevented or not...

8500 is a breeze!

Great info, I'll break out the search button, I know there was a similar discussion to this a couple months back.

Found the thread, forgot it was just a giant pissing match about stock springs, or whatever. Not gonna dig it up

Yea. I don't mind being objective. No matter how wrong I become. I still don't know where the specs on the crower springs are at, and the specs for the stockers so that we can see if you can take stockers to the same numbers as the crowers. It would be interesting if anyone has the actual specs on each of these two springs (stock and crower). . .
