I'm glad to hear the racer who flipped in the sandpit is ok, did they mention it at all over the loudspeakers?

I don't believe they ever confirmed his condition over the loudspeaker, although that was the poorest announcer I've seen at the Shootout in a while. He was too busy speaking nonsense and spelling out "E-V-O" when describing Evo's to keep us updated on fellow DSMers. I loved around 10am when the announcer turned off the Top 20 XM Channel that was on the loudspeaker to grace us with his Uncle Kracker CD. Way to go from shitty to shittier.

Who all stayed at the best western? It was a blast, I'd like to know who all we partied with haha.
Pretty much my entire crew (4g63awdhonda, dacowgod, silaser2g, stryker, talondave) plus a bunch of awesome guys on the "party side" of the building last night. We went on tour around 1am, walking up to Econo Lodge to see what was up with the locals as well as Shep and Showdown Bill Lowe.

Another DSM buddy of mine who attended his first shootout this year remarked of what an awesome group of guys that all DSMers are after a few friendly strangers helped him unload and set up his tent at his campsite. This type of event truly brings out the best in the DSM community, and you can truly see the love for the sport and these cars that keeps events like this going on year after year.

Some of these arent mine, which is why they are blurry. Mine are the clear pics.

Yeah that announcer was terrible, it was annoying how everything ended up getting referenced to his small block chevy LOL. I got there just after uncle kracker I think but I heard all of the jokes he made about it.. We ended up migrating to the party side too after the hotel workers kept coming out and yelling about us having a beer pong table set up in the parking lot on the arby's side. I'm hoping to see some of the videos from the hotel posted too, LOL I know a few people got some hilarious footage :)

Nice work, 740! You even got a closeup of Dave's car in your shot from the bleachers at the end of the day:

Haha I wondered how one second there was a huge party on that side then I walked back out to my car and it was like a Ghost Town on the Arby's side. The Norwalk Police were so tolerant with the public drinking and even helped us retrieve a set of keys from a locked car. As long as everyone's in control, the police honestly look the other way.

Lol you must have missed the guy falling out of the back of the huge white f-350 diesel.. the truck was doing a burnout and there were a few guys in the back and when it grabbed traction one guy tumbled out.. It was too funny, the guy was fine btw LOL.

The sun was so damn hot. I still have a headache from it. I'm gonna be honest they were kinda annoying me because they were taking FOREVER to get the the SemiFinals. And between that and the sun I left early like at 5:15. I had fun though. And today I saw, just one, 1ga with the same stock color as my 1ga! I was so excited, haha. I'll upload my photos soon.
Congrats to Shep & Buschur for having bad ass 9 second passes.
