hey guys just wondering if anyone knows the production numbers of each trimline for the 1 g and 2 g dsms...thanks heaps in advance

I cant think of a color of 1g that stikes me as rare. However, the black cherry on 1ga's is one I dont see much of around here.

I don't think the color is as much rare as it is more a regional thing. Just because you don't see that color often doesn't mean it's not popular somewhere else.

My other 97 talon is the revision of your color, it's called pewter blue, paint code a86.

Here, Silver, Red and White 1st gens are the thing. As for 2G's... Well I see the Barcelona Red more then anything, and only in 97's. There's one gray 2g, my friends. I've seen only 3 pure red, one was mine, another is a pos 60k gsx with a blown rear end the dumb ass is selling for 4grand, and the other is a GST that is trying to look like an OZ which is also at a dealership for sale. I see some white 2nd gens, I owned one, but not as many, about 3 or 4. One 2g in silver that I can think of, also the green color is known.

I've only seen possibly one 1g in your color.

Black is also a very known color.

My '90 Ply is in Raspberry Red - the same color that was assigned to the X2S Plymouth concept vehicle (which later did become the Laser) and Mitsubishi concept Roadster - since my Ply has a build date of June of 1989.

I would like to know specifically the year and models break down numbers
? from the Base 1.8L models to the AWD turbos? The 1.8L (4G37) was discontiuned after the 1994 model year (and the last year of the 1G line). 1995 is when it was all MMMA instead of DSM, 2G's is when the Base (no tach and pretty plain) and RS had the Chrysler 420A and the Chrysler trannies. GST and X's still ran the 4G63 with either FWD and AWD. 3G's is when the Chrysler motor disappeared and the 4G64 took over as their base motor with the optional 4G72, V6 was their power option and goodbye to the 4G63, where the EVO shined with that motor.

For the curious:

I was wondering if anyone has any information about who can I call or fax to get production numbers on this car from a good source.

Its a 1991 Eagle Talon TSI AWD

Reason being is that in NJ you can register a limited production car as a collectors car. It won't need to be inspected. Only down side is that you are limited to 3000 miles a year.

If anyone can give any kind of information besides Wikipedia, that would be helpful.

I have heard that the silver 98 Eagle Talon is a rare color? Is this true. thanks:thumb:

You would think that the dealership would have these numbers being they have the VIN numbers and would know what was what?

I agree but those are the productions numbers listed in a DSM book I own so I thought I'd throw them in here for reference. Here's the Eagle Talon production numbers according to the Wiki page...

'90 - 32,708
'91 - 33,537
'92 - 27,945
'93 - 26,740
'94 - 24,040
'95 - 25,066
'96 - 15,100
'97 - 9,788
'98 - 4,308

I guess the only thing we know for sure is we'll probably never know for sure.
