I have a 6boltina2g and I think I will be buying this package:

DSMLink V2 package w/socket service order $595 + shipping

Injectors: If this kid comes through I will be getting PTE 680cc injectors. So that would be 680 generic injectors.

Idle: Then with the idle is there any reason to change it from stock?

Launch: I should have about 350whp, on fwd 13" 24.5" tall slicks. Stock axles and trans. I have the b&m insert and sbr's 3500 clutch assembly. I know its just a default but what do you think it should be?

Rev limit: Stock cams, internals, intake manifold.. Should I go higher than stock?

CAS: Invert cam angle signal - I'm pretty sure I would do this because its a swap to 1g CAS.

CAS - Cam Angle Sensor

To use DSMLink, you have to run an ECU that was intended for use with a '95/'96 cam angle sensor. If your car has a non '95/'96 cam angle sensor, check the "invert cam angle signal" checkbox. If you don't know, check the passenger side of the valve cover for an externally mounted cam angle sensor. If one is present, you'll see it installed here. If, as the picture illustrates, you have nothing installed in that location, then you have a '95/'96 cam angle sensor and do not want to check the inversion box. If you do have something installed in that location, then select the invert option. A little more information can be found here.

NOTE: If you select cam angle inversion, we also disable misfire detection by default. This check tends to be very problematic on cars that require CAS inversion.

MAF: I have a 3" GM maf..
MAF - hacked MAF

Select this option if you plan to run with a hacked 2G factory MAF. That is, if you plan to remove the bottom and both side honeycombs from your MAF, select the hacked MAF default. We will provide a default MAF compensation curve that we have found to work well with a hacked MAF.

At the last second I noticed these are just default settings and can be changed but I'm a perfectionist. So any suggestions I didn't think of is very helpful.

I'd definitely go with a 3" gm maf...

Its safe to bump up to rev limit a few hundred rpm.. but not really necessary..

Also the injectors don't really matter.. I know they pre-set it for the size you tell them but once you install dsmlink you just have to adjust for whatever size injectors you have before firing it up..

Just remember on the 2g's it doesn't retain your info if you unhook the battery and your injector setting will go back to whatever size you first told them...

Personally I would do the following:

- 650cc injector compensation (680cc injectors tend to flow like 650cc injectors)
- stock idle unless you have stalling issues as it is (then bump it up a bit)
- no idea (I have an AWD - and 4500-5500 RPM are good ranges there)
- 7500 RPM rev limit (you will tend not to make much power above this w/o cams)
- inverted CAS (either a 97 style or 1G will require an inverted CAS signal)

Personally I wouldn't bother with a GM MAF until you need the extra flow capability of this sensor because of the downsides. It tends to be inconsistent with moisture and calibration is a little tricky for a new user of DSMLink. Save this money for the injectors for now. Feel free to upgrade to it later as you have DSMlink under control.

Good luck!

everyone has said it but ill sayi t again.. DSMLink is the best money I've spent on my car thus far.. do a search and it may answer most of your question, if not email the guys at DSMLink.. they will be more than happy to answer any quesitons you have.. great customer service and product

Thanks guys.

I think I got everything becides the cas...

- inverted CAS (either a 97 style or 1G will require an inverted CAS signal)

Can someone spoon feed me, I have a 2g with a galant vr4 RS motor.

Also I already have the 3" gm maf so I don't need to worry about saving for injectors.

Thanks again!
