Just as the title says 91 awd talon, door open light wont go off I tryed re-shutting everything and holding the door sensor things in and it wont go off is there a fuse I can pull to make this shit go away I get up for work at 5 am and im afirad sitting 12 hrs is gonna kill my batterie because its got the feet light on and the king ring hole, any Ideas?

Did this get resolved? I'm having the same problem. I pulled the interior room fuse under the steering wheel to get those lights to turn off, hopefully tommorow morning my battery won't be dead.

It seems as though this problem started when I accidentally started my car in gear. It lurched forward and then wouldn't start after that. After getting boosted many times, I noticed my battery was entirely dead, and when I turned the car off after the boost, there was one point when the 'tail' relay was buzzing madly like a vibrator and there was some weird ringing coming from the hatch area, so I bought a new battery. Now the under dash lights and the ignition key light is staying on (I actually don't think that key light has ever worked before..)

It seems like the driver's side open-door sensor isn't working anymore. So that's when I pulled the fuse, and that's where I am now.

well pulling the fuse wont fix the problem just hide it... with that in mind its best bet that your door switches or posibly trunk switch has gone bad... i would try to see if thres a way to test the switches one by one and go from there.

another question do u have an aftermarket alarm system?

but definatly sure its one of the door switches.
:talon:

If your at work and afraid of the battery dying i know this isn't the greatest idea but I would honestly diconnect the battery to stop it from dying so your not stuck. But you should check the fuses and the latch on the back of the car.

usually what happens, being that the switch is located in the lower "C" pillar, is that the switch's single wire (since it uses chassis as ground) connection might get turned and will touch ground to keep the light on. Not too unusual when cars age that this condition begins to happen.

But, also agree with the hatch: My car did the same thing and it was the hatch mechanism that wasn't allowing my dome light to go off. I finally had to go into the lock mechanism, take out a rubber stop to allow the hatch to come down to engage the blade switch in this mechanism to get my dome light to go off.

Yeh. The door switches are famous for not turning on the dome light. The problem here is that it's not turning off. As said, it could be something goofy, but it's thinking zebras when you hear hoofbeats.
