Seat belt wont go down when door opens

The seatbelts work fine when I park. When I turn the ignition off then it goes down and when I put the key in with the door closed(wont do it if the doors open) it goes back up into normal position. Now the problem is that if i leave my car running them i have to unclip my seatbelt or move it over my head. its Getting alittle old. I cleaned the switch by the dash board and that works fine. I dont know what the problem could be??? Im going to check my fuses tomorrow first.

Take it to a dealer. All "automatic" seat belts have unconditional lifetime warranties. I have taken 4 or 5 cars to the dealer and had them fixed. 9 times out of 10 its free. If you end up at a dealership that happens to have lazy people they may try to charge you for labor though.

I thought labor had to be included in the warrenty and how exactly do you get the talon done?

Im surprised they would still warranty seat belts on a 20 year old car

by law they have to. that was one of the loop holes in the government making the car companies do it. after there was sooo many problems with it they just started using a buzzer.... makes sooo much sense, i know right.

some places dont want to fully abide by the warranty and want to give you a hard time about it. i could have fought it but i was tired of dealing with it and it was only like 30 bucks so i didnt complain too much... with the eagle you should be able to go to a chrysler/jeep dealer.

Not sure what you mean by "small mod to the pillar trim" though Anyway he probably doesn't have the same problem as I did, because his still does actually move, mine didn't move at all period (sensor was no good)
