ok ive been working on my 2g eclipse for awhile and i cant get it right.... it all started wen i bent the valves and i put a new head on rite now its 1g block with a 2g rebuilt head... 1g throttle body... 1g intake manifold....16g turbo... i do not have the emission vaccum lines hooked up and the egr valve blocked... ok heres the prob the intake filter makes a really weird noise really loud... the cars idle jumps up and down... and it miss fires at idle speed and it seems the valves click wen the car is off.... if u have any suggestions let me know thanks

the valves "click when the car is off"? what do you mean?

check for boost leaks and vac leaks.. check to make sure the cams are timed correctly...

its like a clicking sound coming from the head area wen the car is off.... and how can u check to see if the timing is ok???

you need to 1st> get a shop manual for your car.. they are the most important tool for your car you will have.. 2nd> you need to take off the valve cover's and check to see if the timing marks line up with each other...

^^ go there, and look up how to change the timing belt, and you will see how to get to the cam gears to see the marks...

If it clicks when the car is off, its possible you may have a leaking injector, that is leaking a lil bit onto a hot piston.. does it only do it right after the car is off?

yes rite after and for about 2 to 3 mins after its cool

it also has a really hard time starting too.... takes quite a few trys to get it started does anyone know why my intake is so noisy u can hear it threw the filter.... its a new k and n filter kinda like a scratchy noise
